Produced during the Advanced Textile Program at the Textiel Lab in Textiel Museum Tilburg. Showcasing an exploration of mixing transparencies with opacity by using a combination of monofilament yarns with cotton and synthetic yarns.
My background in graphic design allowed me to produce vivid gradient filled shapes to create a fantastical image that draws you into the depth of the textiles. The transparency created by the monofilament allowed you to look into the previously hidden structure of the knit and show how the yarns float beneath the surface.
